It's hit home. Tomorrow I leave to go to South America. Finally the excitement kicks in! Everyone has been asking me if i'm excited, but all i've been thinking about is getting all the work done before i go. I got almost all done, but a few things will have to wait till i get back. I am now officially finished and heading out in the morning. Woo hoo! I did some cleaning today and put the music on full ball and danced like a crazy woman around the lounge room. This time tomorrow I will be driving to Sydney, and this time on Saturday i will be several thousand feet above the ground ( and trying not to think how many feet above the ground it really is ) and wondering how i am going to stay sane on a plane for 24 hours...

the countdown
Sooooo.... today is my last official day at work before i jet off to South America. The bookings have been coming thick and fast for when i get back and July is now booked out and we are taking bookings for August already. ( With the exception being for newborns, which we will find some space for somewhere! They are only newborn for such a little bit. )
Janice will be here starting Monday, checking email and taking appointments, but she wont be here all the time so you will need to make an appointment if you would like to pick prints up. I have HUGE to-do list for today, so wish me luck getting all that done!

murray
Maybe it was the hot chocolate that set the mood, or our fabulous rendition of "Wheels on the Bus" but Murray seemed to have a ball getting his photo taken. I tried to get a shot of him walking around the studio with his beanie on, but every time i tried to get his attention he would come running over, grab me around the middle for a cuddle and then run off again. Made it hard to get a shot, but he won me over in about three seconds. He certainly knows how to work the girls!
Murray could also do all the animal noises. I think this one was "what noise does a tiger make?"

layla
When I first saw Layla peeking up at me with those big blue eyes I knew i had to photograph her. Lucky for me her Mum had gotten a gift voucher so she came in armed with tutus, balloons and cupcakes. All my favourites! Although I think we were more impressed with the cupcakes than Layla was.
( And the pink hat is a marshmellow hat from the MILK collection )
oscar and archie
This was the second time I shot this family, because they are about to have a new addition very soon! Little Archie wasnt even walking last time I shot him, but this time he was running around showing me his belly so i could blow raspberries on him. Which makes it kind of hard to photograph him! Eventually I got Oscar to lay on him and hold him down.
sophia { seven days old }
Sophia Bella came to visit me when she was a bump in mummys tummy, and i squeezed her newborn shoot in before my trip away. How could i resist? Little squishy newborns. Sooooo sweet. And another apperance with an elf hat from the MILK collection ( mother-in-law knitted ) and then the little white hat was Sophia's mums when she was a baby.

indi { one year old }
If there was a style competition, Indi would win. This girl has the coolest outfits. Every time she comes for her shoot I am like a kid in a candy store. Silver boots, wings, tutus, huggalugs, pink converse shoes... I love it all!
Indi was so smiley on this day! I kept waiting for her to stop and say 'enough' but she just kept giggling at me. Shes such a sweetie! I got some gorgeous shots of the family on location but am gonna save them for another post.

the wedding of amy and shane
Amy and Shane celebrated their wedding on the 9th of May at St. Peters Chapel at Lake Albert and I dont think there was a dry eye in the church during the readings, mine included! The reception followed at the Turf Club. The weather gods were happy and supplied us with some perfect weather, and we had a spot that showed all the colours of autumn. The bridesmaids dresses were a dark purple, a great choice for an autumn wedding, and Amy had purple shoes to match. Which is one idea worth stealing! Who says wedding shoes have to be white?

random wednesday
You know you are stressed when:
1. You go shopping and forget your pin number... yup... thats bad isnt it?
2. You put your lunch in the oven and go to get it half an hour later only to realise you havent actually put it in the oven yet... and so you remain hungry for the next half hour!
3. You call to partner to tell him you will get dinner on the way home and then turn up and want to know why he hasnt cooked dinner.
Guess what else? Only ten days to go till i go overseas. Still got a few posts to put up before i go, one wedding and some cute kids and babies, and i have posts set to come up while i am away, and i will log on when i can from overseas and keep y'all updated. But i can only upload the pics from craigs little snappy camera as most computers cant handle my cameras file size. I tried to pack my back pack on sunday night, and - surprise surprise - it doesnt all fit and i still need some more stuff in there. And i checked the weather forecast and one of the places we are going - sigh - is only 4 degrees. And i do not function well in the cold, so this one is going to be interesting.
Travel Tip : you know when you buy a new jumper and they give you a little plastic bag with a spare button in it? Those little bags are the best thing to pack your earrings in when you travel. They dont rub or tangle with each other and you can see them all easily. I am just full of useful information.

maddy
Maddy was part of Taryn's birthday party shoot that i posted about a while back. I am giving them each their own post as they are all so gorgeous!
I have had lots of enquiries about doing these shoots... Basically we can give it any style of twist that you like, so for this shoot we did hoodies and some great urban spots ( graffiti and shopping trolleys ). We have lots of fun and run it like a fashion shoot, and do shots of the girls together and single ones as well.
