Three different ways of displaying your images, the top being a great mix of art and photos, i have done something similiar in Jades nursery and if i ever fill the frames I will have to photograph it and put it on the blog. The second is such a great way to get a lot of images on the wall but still keep those of you happy who like it all to be perfectly balanced, and the shelf in the hallway is great as you can change your display as often as you like. Just try to keep all the frames of a similiar style to keep if from looking too messy.

A more structured wall gallery needs to ... well, be structured, whereas an organic style gallery can mix it up a bit more. Often an organic style gallery can be added to easier over time, but it really depends on where you hang your gallery. Or you can do a mix of both and use a centre line as your starting point.

If you like to swap your pictures around all the time, then a photo shelf is great. 

You can change your display without having to put any more holes in the wall.

Go for expression over that perfect look-at-the-camera smile. Then you will smile every time you look at it. For modern simplicity try a canvas print ( or four ). No framing required.

The holidays are in full swing so i have set some posts to pop up while Im getting all relaxed for next year. Now that you all have your beautiful prints that Santa gave you, its time to think about how to get it all up on the walls and looking pretty. I always have the best intentions of doing mini makeovers on my house, studio and props over the holiday break, but often i am too busy doing absolutely nothing.

Have you heard of Pinterest? Its a place where you pin things of interest, hence the name. Kind of like a virtual mood board. Each image pinned is tracked back to where it came from, so you always know the source of the images. So inspring ( and a great time waster! ). I have a board that i stick any ideas i can find for displaying photographs and art, and when I can i will randomly blog some here, but go and check out Pinterest if you need more inspiration.

In love with this! I have been looking for inspiration to do a photo gallery in Jades nursery. Actually, to tell the truth, i am always on the lookout for photo displays. I actually found a similiar image ( might even be the same image? ) of the dog in the bicycle basket, but it was really expensive, so of course i am now planning to do a session with a pink bicycle and a dog! If i ever get the time... one day!

And loving all the colour on the white background on this one.

Sometimes I call these organic displays, because they can grow over time. Just keep the frames similiar, so all white as shown here, but mix the sizes up for the best look.

I am also eyeing off that lovely pale blue wall colour, I think that could work for a boys or a girls room.
