kim and keeley { aka the super k's! } a creative session

One day a photographer was out driving in the rain when she saw a location, a wet and dismal place with mud and dead trees and that photographer thought "What a great place for a photo shoot". And that photo shoot idea bounced around in her head so much she had to shoot it to make room for other images in her head. And thats how this session kind of came about...

I always try to do a couple of creative sessions each year, just to let the inner artist have a play. A play date for me and my trusty 5D Mkiii. I learnt so much from this session and I think Im going to have to do it again really soon.

I had two fabulous models, Kim and Keeley, who hadnt modelled before and I'm sure they wondering on the day what was going on ( my assistant had to call in sick and there was an equipment disaster too ). They both did an amazing job and Im hoping once the weather starts warming up again they will both come out and have another go.

linda { model session }

The lovely long legged Linda. Photographing model sessions while pregnant is not good for the self esteem! This was the second time Linda and I had worked together and we worked it! The ever fabulous Kath from

Hair Rehab was on hand for makeup and hair and styling. And to carry anything heavy. She is multiskilled. You can tell we have worked together many times, she is even starting to point out good light to me! Thats my kind of hairdresser.

ali { a boudoir session }

Before I got pregnant with twins I had grand plans to start expanding the fashion and boudoir side of my studio, so i got some gorgeous models and did some work to use for promos, and plus i really needed the practice. Most of my clients are under ten years old, so its a bit different working with an adult who can follow instructions.

Ali was so much fun to photograph, these are only some of the shots we got on the day, at the end of the session I put her in a bath full of milk and flower petals. Which, now I think about it, is somewhere I wouldnt mind being myself right now.

Again i worked the fabulous Kath at Hair Rehab, who also made an appearance in front of the camera.

kate { a model session }

Kate has such fabulous long legs and was a blast to work with, I kind of felt like a pregnant garden gnome walking along beside her! It was a bit cold but Kate worked it anyways. And she was so funny, she had me in stitches a couple of times during the session. 

 

The fabulous Kath at Hair Rehab did the hair and makeup for this session and helped out with styling too. Rock star team.

kourtney { part two }

I had to take Jade along to this session and spent most of the time with my camera in one hand balancing a baby on my hip. Not the easiest thing to do. I did pop Jade in for some shots too, that post up soon. I was impressed that i finally got Kourtney to wear some pink for this shoot.

kourtney { fourteen years old }

Kourtney is my niece so i may be biased but i think she's gorgeous. When she comes to visit me in the school holidays we do a photo shoot. We dont really plan to do one, it just happens. Its kind of expected. And it gives us a really good excuse to go shopping. You should be warned that if you do an urban shoot with me I will wander around like i have no idea where i am going ( which i probably dont ) looking for light and texture and then if i spot random dumped junk i will most likely try to include it in the session. Especially if its a green lounge and you are wearing purple and i just happen to have a peacock feather headband in the car.

kourtney { on location } part three

I remember when she used to wear fairy wings, and try on all my shoes.

And now she wears eyeliner and fits into all my shoes.

Part three of Lindas fashion shoot. Jeans models own, jewellery was kaths, the red bag was sophs, and the black jacket i literally took off soph's back when we started shooting. love the way it all came together!

lindas modelling session { part two } wagga fashion photography

Another burst of rain gave us a last minute location change, which worked out brilliantly! This was really a team effort, not just the makeup and hair but the styling as well. If you saw four women arguing over which shoes best suited the models look in a carpark a couple of weeks ago, that was probably us.
