Amy and Dean celebreated their love with a ceremony in Tumut, surrounded by family and friends. Sophie was their very special flower girl. I was so glad to be a part of Amy and Deans day, I have known Dean for years, and am so happy to see him married and in love and with a beautiful little girl.

The bridal party was hilarious and had me laughing from the first shot, and i had to laugh even more when i suggested we really needed to move this very old and very heavy tractor up the hill. The light was better!

This was my first wedding back for the new year. Sooo nice not to have to shoot a wedding in the rain! And check out those shoes, how hot! You know i love me some hot shoes at a wedding. Hot bridal party, hot shoes, hot weather, it was a fabulously hot day all around really!

The cereomony of Kara and Jim was at Mt Erin Chapel, and their reception was at the Garden Court. The weather was pretty, the dresses gorgeous and the bridal party was fabulous!

Kara and Jim are not only fantastic people, and soooo in love, and so amazing together, they have been exremely patient waiting for me to edit their photos! So i thought i might post a couple of extra pics in their sneak peak.

And a bit of a behind the scenes moment. It totally cracks me up, because lining up in "boy girl" order is often much more complicated than it seems! Makes me laughh every time i look at it, i might have to print it out and put it on the wall in my office!

Melissa and Adam held their ceremony under cover at the MTC, where they also had their reception. The weather was not on our side on the day, but the bridal party didnt let it phase them a bit. I wish i had merit stickers to give out at the end! Even when we got back to reception and the rain paused and the sun came out, and I suggested we go out and try and get a couple of shots without rain, everyone was happy.

Emma and Jason celebrated their wedding in the town of Temora, which seems blessed with many great photo locations. I think Emma may go down in Skye Rocket history as the only bride so far who changed her facebook status during the photo session.

Somehow, by some miracle, the rain stopped just long enough for their ceremony on the beach to happen. I met the boys at the beach and we stood under cover and looked out to the ocean and the rain coming down. A french lady, wearing a plastic rain coat, stopped and asked what time the wedding was. When we told her, she looked to the sky, told us she would pray for us, and off she went. Sixty seconds later the rain stopped, and held off long enough to get the cereomy and some quick location shoots in the bag. And pretty much in the dark!

Wayne and Rebekah have such a lovely way with each other, they are totally happy in each others company. They got ready together and we did the family photos before the ceremony, and the whole day was beautifully calm. We started our photo session off at the Euonyhareenyha Winery, where Wayne proposed, and then stopped off at a pretty spot on the side of the road on the way to the MTC for their reception.

Luke and Pam celebrated their black and white themed wedding at the Manor House in Albury on a beautiful day. Luke used to live here in Wagga and met the love of his life after a move to Melbourne, so the wedding was held half way between. Their was lots of love, hugs and tears at this wedding. You could feel all kinds of emotions flitting through the warm spring air.

off for a wedding { closed for a while }

My next wedding is on Stradbroke Island, I know, poor me! I will be closed from Wednesday and back in next Thursday the 7th of October. Apart from having cocktails on the beach, this will put everything at the studio back a week. So the cocktails better be really REALLY good.

And as usual i am stressing about what to pack. And how to cart all my camera gear up there safely, there is no way they are checking my camera in, so i hope it fits as hand luggage, and how much gear do i really need, and can i book in for a massage while i'm up there cause i really need one, and its not fair i have to work at the wedding cause i dont get to wear heels or a dress and i hope the light is good up there, and if our flight is delayed by five minutes we will miss the coach to catch the ferry.... AND i am booked out for the year and have a wait list already for next year. And its eleven o'clock on a Monday night and instead of blogging I should be sleeping cause i have two back to back shoots in the morning... so goodnight!

Tamika and Rodney held their ceremony at the Borambola Winery and their reception at the Manor. The Borambola Winery has spectacular views for your ceremony, and we were lucky that the rain helf off for us. We did have to take shelter from the wind for the family photos, but Tamika had done some detective work and found us a great old shearing shed to use for their location session.

I bet you're wondering what I have put the rings in for their little close up. Well, its spun toffee and its off the wedding cake. And it was really really sticky.

Melissa and Andrew had their ceremony on the banks of the river, with the sun shining down, and their reception on their parents property. We had done a walk through and found some fabulous locations that came with orange chairs and a river view, but it wasnt meant to be on the day. We used the Civic Centre for some great colour and texture to really set the orange of the bridesmaids dresses off. Becuse we had saved on travel we had time to stand in the middle of the main street and try to control the flow of traffic for some night shots.

Missy didnt stop smiling the entire day, and it was great so see some brides and bridesmaids from previous weddings. A beautiful day!
