campbell { a newborn session }
The handsome Campbell and his gorgeous family, his beautiful big sister had been in my studio before but I was more than happy to photograph her again. She was so good snuggling her little brother, but she did tell me she was the cutest one out of the two of them!

A teaparty and jumping on the bed mixed with some pretty backlighting and some very cute kids. Sounds like a perfect afternoon.

indi and rhylan { a location session }
Miss Serious! Indi was in swimming lessons with my daughter Jade, and she loves the water, LOVES it, so she was so happy and smiley at swimming lessons. Not the same at our photo shoot. Look at that face! Her big brother Rhylan had his solo shoot when he was a baby, and he was being such a good big brother for this session.

ella and harry { a woodland teaparty }
Ella and Harrys mum was super organised bought the most amazing props to our styled teaparty session. The styled setup was for both the kids so we used lots of timber and green so it wasnt too girly, and lots of bunny rabbits and a squirrel made an appearance too. Ella and Harry were the perfect little models, totally adorable and just such happy little people.

ryder + evie + luca { a session on location }
Boys on bikes and girls with dolly prams. At one stage I was pretending I had ants in my pants to get Evie to smile, but she was so concerned about me I had to stop. Such a sweetie. We didnt have a dolly to put in the pram so we used a piece of bark and Ryder named it Susie.

rupert & anastasia { on location }
I had photographed Anastasia before but this was Ruperts first shot behind the camera. He was not my biggest fan but we kept working and right at the end he gave me some smiles, mixed in with those serious expressions I love too. Thats one of the things I love most about photographing kids, their expressions are real.

kade and bianca
I had photographed Bianca when she was Kades age, so we thought we best get some shots of Kade at about the same age, before their new little brother or sister comes along. Kades loves cars and firetrucks so I incoprorated them into the session. Lets just say that his big sister was a much more willing subject, and Im very thankful she was there doing puppet shows and making him laugh by chasing Barbie around with Batman.

cheyenne
Miss Cheyenne, you are just growing up way too fast. I have been photographing you since you were in your mummys tummy and now you're at school. One of the benefits of being friends with a photographer is that you will have your years well documented. You will never be able to say to your mum that there were no photos of you when you were little. Your mum started as a client and now she brings me hot chocolate and I get to photograph you and your spunky little brother. Of course it also means your mum has to help me carry props, set up teepees and watch the twins while I do photographs of you... She also has to smile at me every time I say something like "I've got this idea for a photo shoot..."

jack { and a little boat }
When I was pregnant with the twins I did a family session on location and at the end of the shoot a little boat session for jack, but I wasnt totally happy with it... It was late in the morning, not the best light, and I was pretty much exhausted, sitting on the ground and not able to move much... so this time I took the twins with me but they were in a pram. Much easier to move around that way, but it does restrict the locations you can use! Jack was all for the session until he realised how much fun it was to stand in the mud in his gumboots. Then we got stuck in the mud.

cheyenne { a sweet shoot on location }
If you've seen the post of Jade with the cupcake stand, this was the same shoot. Cupcakes are always better when shared with friends, and its a lot of work to set that styled shoot up so I invited some friends along so I could make the most of it. And someone had to help me eat all those cupcakes or I would have had to eat them all by myself.
{ Im still on maternity leave though... for another couple of months at least. Loving spending lots of cuddle time with my two boys. )

ella & connor
I always appreciate the effort my clients go to for their session, with all their gorgeous clothes and getting everything co-ordinated. We had to postpone this session from the original date and i think their Mum was worried I was going into labour on the day but we made it through and got some great shots of two amazing kids.
