ainslie and robert { engaged! }
Ainslie and Bob are getting married in Cairns at the end of the year, so unfortunately I dont get to shoot their wedding for them. Although I did offer to go to Cairns... They bought some great props with them for their shoot, including some vintage frames, a metal bench, big cut outs of their initials and their rather large dog. Seriously, this dog is huge. And he was having a great time exploring our shoot spots.

caleb, imogen and joshua
We met up early one morning for some shootin'. Normally boys are harder, but not this time. This time Imogen was the tough one. Luckily Mum bought a bubble machine and that got smiles all around.
halle, shayla and dizel
Dizel is a fire cracker, i had problems getting him to sit still for any shots! Actually if you look closely at the one of him you will see his hand is moving. He has such spunk! Halle and Shayla were so much fun to shoot, I love big sisters. They have such beautiful smiles. The one of the three of them together would make a stunning canvas. Big. really big.

the wedding of cathie and ben
Cathie and Ben's wedding was in the river side town of Tumut. It was an unusually warm day for March, but we had some amazing locations to hide from the heat. The property is owned by Cathie's grandmother, and she used to play there as a child. We had fun expoloring in 4WD, with old trees, old houses and old farm equipment.

fletcher { seven months old }
I was impressed with Fletchers smiles, not cause he is so cute, but cause he had a big drive to get here for his shoot and he was still a happy chappy. I shot his Mummy and Daddy's wedding and even though they have moved away it was a privilege for me to be able to meet Fletcher, and give him some snuggles.

a skye rocket project
So its Sunday evening, and I had a project on today.
Craig looks at me and rolls his eyes when I tell him about my latest projects. A couple of weeks ago I bought a piece of furniture at Vinnies, and asked him to pick it up with the ute. Two weeks later I borrowed the ute and picked it up myself ( while wearing yellow high heels, but thats another story! ). "Dont you have enough work to do?" he asked me. Again.
But you see i get these ideas in my head. The wedding expo is coming up next weekend, and i wanted to do something different this year. Of course Craig argued that i was just making more work for myself. Which I totally am. But i had this idea in my head!
So i have spent the better part of my Sunday, my only day off, painting and sanding and more painting. I am covered in paint. My legs are spotchy. And i havent finished yet.
I took the pics for the "before" shot with my new iPhone. I am very technical. Anyway, a "before" pic always makes the after pic look more dramatic if its a crappy pic. But I havent managed to get to the "after" pic yet! Although in this shot it kind of looks like my shadow is wearing the dresser as a hat. And the goofy shadow next to me is my dog.
Hopefully the "after" pic would look fabulous and everyon will be super impressed and then it will be worth the work. But I am having doubts. Stay tuned to see how it all turns out!

sophia bella { ten months old }
I have shot Sophia since she was a little bitty baby ( she is on my wall with a little pink elf hat on, curled up and asleep ) and now she has teeth and is almost walking. Actually, she is probably walking by now! They grow up so quick. She had a great time in the studio, playing with all the props and trying to figure out how to open the suitcase, which was a perfect match for her groovy red frilled pants.

piper { eleven months old }
Piper even bought her little puppy dog in for some photo lovin'. I dont think he was that impressed with Pipers furniture moving skills. He made a run for it as soon as he could, and spent the rest of the shoot trying to be invisible. As a white dog in a white studio, with white walls and white floors, he very nearly succeded!

mandy { in the river }
Ask any photographer and they will tell you they have creative ideas bouncing around in their head. Creative little things that beg to be let out and bought to life. This shoot was one of those
( and how i love mandy for doing it! ).
Inspiration comes from a lot of different sources, and the idea for this one came from a reality TV show years ago. It stuck in my head. And i am so happy with it now its done!
Thanks Mandy for being such a fantastic model, and thanks to your fabulous husband who stood in the river in the rain, holding an umbrella with one hand, making sure the ladder i was standing on didnt fall over, and occasionaly holding my camera too...

mandy
For all the people who have ever commented on how good my nails are, this is the fabulous lady that does them. One of my favourite things about Mandy is that she is always happy and always in a good mood. That makes her fun to be around, and lots of fun to shoot. Her daughters may disagree but they don't count!
Mandy wanted to get a shoot done for ages and when a special birthday came around we booked it in. After years in the planning, it rained on the day, but we didnt let that stop the fun.
