sophia & charli

It was a lovely day for a teepee party, and although Sophia was all for it
Charli wasnt feeling the best on the day.

8x10 mounted prints are on sale!

I have seven boxed sets of mounted 8x10" images that i would love to sell before i go on maternity leave, so I'm having a sale! They are stored in what will be the twins nursery, so i need the room.

Normally a set of these sells for $490 but I am discounting them down to $350, for the set of ten, thats only $35 each, the same price as a 5x7" print. You dont have to order the same photo, you can have ten different shots, or from different sessions but your order must be received before the 20th of October. And i only have seven boxes. Great idea for Christmas presents, each mount will fit into an 11x14" frame, so they are perfect as gifts.

I have also had clients get them professionally framed and then hang them all together as a beautiful gallery, which looks stunning.

Im also selling my display prints so I can actually get some space to put some images of my own babies on the walls, if you know I have any display images of your kids or your family they will sell for a third of their normal price. Swing me an email if you are interested!

billy { nine days new }

Little Billy came to vist me and he bought his two gorgeous big sisters with him. Doesnt he have the type of cheeks you just want to smother with kisses? And those squishy lips....

display ideas

Three different ways of displaying your images, the top being a great mix of art and photos, i have done something similiar in Jades nursery and if i ever fill the frames I will have to photograph it and put it on the blog. The second is such a great way to get a lot of images on the wall but still keep those of you happy who like it all to be perfectly balanced, and the shelf in the hallway is great as you can change your display as often as you like. Just try to keep all the frames of a similiar style to keep if from looking too messy.

Lots more ideas on my pinterest board, check it out here. Happy displaying!

indy { eight months old }

Indy thought my vintage pram was very cool but I think she was more impressed with Stitches the Bunny than she was with me.

isla { sixteen months old }

Isla travelled a long way for her photo session, she loved to push the pram around the studio, mostly chasing her dad who had to be pretty quick on his feet or end up with a pram indent on his shin.

melbourne trip { a studio update }

Mostly I try to keep my blog about the photography, but me and my photography are so intertwined that sometimes the two become one. So this post is an explanation of sorts.... I am thinking of flying the coop to Melbourne this weekend. This trip has been planned three times. The first it was cancelled when Craigs grandfather passed away, and he had to go out of town for a couple of days. The second time was when my Uncle passed away. He was in hospital for a couple of days in Albury and I made a few trips down to see him, and as with him when he passed away one morning as the sun came up. With the funeral to organise I seem to have lost an entire week somewhere along the way.

I have also had preschool photos to do, plus all the work I am trying to get done before I go on maternity leave. And i have a 16 month old to look after as well. And im 24 weeks pregnant with twins.

So the question i keep asking myelf today is should i go to Melbourne for two days or not? I could stay here, maybe try and look at some new cars, cots and prams, try desperately to catch up on the laundry, the gardening and the editing, maybe try and have a nap? Or do i start packing now because it will take me all afternoon to pack for two days in Melbourne with me and Jade?

I think i really need the Melbourne trip. Get a dose of creative engergy, maybe see if i have enough creative zing to take some random photos of Melbournes amazing laneways, spend time with my baby girl and my fiancee. Just be.

So... lets just say I am a bit behind in editing, and I do apoligise, I am hoping to use this weekend to refocus, recharge and come back on Monday ready to rock n roll. At the moment with my huge tummy there is more waddling than rocking, but thats OK, I can work with that!

Craig snapped the photo of me at Jade's latest photo session, which I havent had time to edit yet.

ali { a boudoir session }

Before I got pregnant with twins I had grand plans to start expanding the fashion and boudoir side of my studio, so i got some gorgeous models and did some work to use for promos, and plus i really needed the practice. Most of my clients are under ten years old, so its a bit different working with an adult who can follow instructions.

Ali was so much fun to photograph, these are only some of the shots we got on the day, at the end of the session I put her in a bath full of milk and flower petals. Which, now I think about it, is somewhere I wouldnt mind being myself right now.

Again i worked the fabulous Kath at Hair Rehab, who also made an appearance in front of the camera.

elizabeth { one year old }

Elizabeth really wanted to stick her tongue out at me for most of her session, but I still managed to get some gorgeous shots of her just looking cute as pie.
