the lysaght family

Had a big barrel of fun shooting this family in the studio. These boys are gonna be heart breakers when they grow up. They have million watt smiles that could light up half of Paris. They were so spunky!

the wedding of robbie-lee and travis

Robbie and Travis tied the knot on the 11th of October and it was a beautiful day. Taya was a very special flower girl and Nugget the dog made a special guest appearance. He was very well behaved and looked quite dapper in his little suit.
And the ring shot. On a block of chocolate. What a great idea. Diamonds and chocolate!

look how far we've come!

I was walking around the studio the other day, and writing a list of all those little jobs that need doing and all the furniture shopping i need to do. Why is it so hard to find a decent coffee table that i like? Anyway, was looking at the pics of the house being built and realised how far we've come. So decided not to stress about it. I will find a perfect coffee table eventually. Thats not $1500. And I got my clothesline put up. Yes, finally, twenty minutes work and it only took twelve months!
Ok back to editing now. I have soooo much editing.

and the race is on!

As you all probably know its bedlam around here at this time of the year. Its peak wedding season and peak christmas time. Fun! I have also been doing some commercial work and preschool photos. And football players... But you will have to wait a bit for that post.

So we have a few spots left for portrait sessions. Saturday the 15th of November is now available for shoots, and this is the last and only Saturday to get your prints back in time for Christmas so if you want a spot I would book it now. { The ten o'clock session is already booked, and so is the 12:30 spot. }

Cut off date for ordering prints is the 5th of December, so your shoot needs to be done mid november at the latest. That way we have time to edit and make it all look pretty.

The photo design above is of the wonderful crazy me... Get me in front of the camera and i just go silly. As the picture shows! Thanks to Briony of Hardinge Photography in Albury for the pic.

the routley family

I shot Lachlan when he was Grace's age, and boy, has he grown up. Grace is so sweet, but I think she may just be a teeny bit worried about her big brother leading her astray when she gets older! How cute does she look in that basket?
{ I have to say a big thank you to Bonnie who gave me the blanket thats in the basket. I love it! Thanks Bonnie! }

claire and alyson's trash the dress session

I had soooo much fun doing this shoot. Claire and Alyson were absolutely fantastic models, willing to do all the crazy things that I asked. We played with poses, we played with accessories and shoes and fish net stockings, and then we played in the mud. The stinky squishy mud and I think it was fabulous!

So we used Claire and Alysons wedding dresses, but we also used a bridesmaids dress ( the black one ) and funked it up some...

We are even thinking about having a second performance in January, when the water is a bit warmer so we can spend more time on the river shots. Maybe even get some husbands to come along?

A huge thank you to claire and alyson for braving the cold waters of the river and the squishy mud ( i went in up to my knees and was terrified of dropping the camera! ). You rock! And for getting changed in parked cars, laying in uncomfortable positions on brick walls and for brining lollies... and not laughing hysterically when we nearly got bogged at the river.

Did i mention how much fun i had doing this shoot??

the wedding of danielle and milton

What a beautiful day. We were shooting at our first location and I could see the rain coming towards us, so I shot the bride and the girls and sent them back to the cars so I could shoot the boys before running to the car to go to the next location. When we got there it was beautiful and the rain had stopped. So i had storm clouds and light so yummy you could eat it with a spoon. Totally delicious light. And then just as we finished and I was shutting the gate it started to rain again. At least I was the only one who got wet.

I am in love with this image. I just love everything about it. This might end up huge on my wall. My second favourite is the fourth one down. I love that one too...

I have to give credit to the bridal party, especially to the girls, for traipsing though a paddock full of green grass just after it had rained. It was wet. And it was muddy. They didnt complain much at all, at least until they had to clean the mud off their shoes at the reception. But it was so worth it!
And the ring shot. Taken on a disposable camera which was covered in diamantes. Very cool. As soon as i saw it i said "ring shot" and put one in my pocket till i got a chance to shoot it.

cards for baby

How cute is this card I made for Riley?

Custom thank you cards are a great way to send a personal note out to all those lovely people who gave you a pressie when your bub was born. Who doesnt love getting something cute in the mail?
I can make you custom christmas cards too, but you need to get in and order them soon or they wont arrive in time for Christmas. I am going to post some new designs once I get a chance to make them up and get them looking all spunkylicious.
By the way, i dont put the cards that people have picked up on the blog, so you still get a surprise when you get one in the mail and it looks totally different to this one.

megans trash the dress session

So I took a little drive down to Albury and then just popped across the border to shoot Megan in her gorgeous wedding gown. My first trash the dress session! Woo hoo! I second shot on this one with Briony of Hardinge Photography in Albury, so thanks Briony for letting me tag along. And a big thanks to Megan for rolling around in the grass for us.
Briony grabbed some shots of me too, so if any are suitable for public viewing I will post them when I see them.

Great light and a great location. Notice I said great light first? ( Any photographers reading this who went to the Jerry Ghionis seminar with me will be nodding along! )
For the last two in the post we played with a video light, so I have got to get me one of those.
