the fave two

Thought I better pop these up to show that i can behave myself when i am having my photo taken. These two are our faves and we will get them printed soon to hang up. I will practice what i preach and have the one with the brick wall printed BIG.
As a general rule i hate having my photo taken, so this goes to show that if you are willing to give all you have to the photographer they can get some great shots out of you.

holiday? what holiday?

Finallllly.... some quite time. So i have a HUMUNGOUS list that i am supposed to do in my quite time. I was wandering around the place the other day with my camera and snapped some shots of the place and was thinking " This is not how its supposed to look". So its make over time. I know what you're thinking, the place is brand new and its looks great, which it does. But we moved in in a big rush and some things just got done cause it was quick and then i just never had the time to fix it - i have been realllly busy. I lurve my clients... Anyways, so its make over time. Unfortunately at the moment i am sick, yes, again, I am currently working as a snot machine.... yup, totally gross. The whole body aches... And i have weddings to edit and portrait shoots to edit and new stuff to do.

I am actually totally embarrassed to blog these photos now that i think about it... hopefully that will get me motivated off my sick bed and out shopping to get it looking all spiffy for the new year.

jordans formal

Jordan looked stunning in yellow for her formal. I think the dress looks just like the one on the cover of the dvd for 'how to lose a guy in ten days'. Jack even scrubbed up well -
especially when he smiles ;-)
Hope you guys had a great time.

the wedding of erin and owen

Erin and Owen had their ceremony and reception at the Roseleigh Manor and we went up the hill to get some beautiful shots with the vintage cars at sunset. Love shooting at sunset...

happy holidays!!

We will be closing this Friday and will stay closed until the 14th of January. I have already started taking bookings for portraits for January while the kids are still on holidays and weddings are pretty much booked out for next year.

We will still be around over Christmas and New Years as I have to shoot a wedding on New Years Eve, but we are taking a week off in January to get out of town and sit on the beach for a while. However, we wont be taking any bookings at this time. We really need some time off... Thank you for understanding.

If you have prints here please make sure they are picked up by Friday the 21st of December.

I wish all my fabulous clients a very merry Christmas and the best new year. I consider myself lucky to have the best clients around, so I hope to see you all again soon to capture those memories for you.

Cheers!

not now!

I woke up Saturday morning feeling like a tin cup full of death warmed up and stirred slightly with a lumpy stick. Today is Monday and I still feel awful. I just want to go to bed... but I have work to do! So please bear with me as I struggle through a particularly bad Monday and try to get all this work done before Christmas.

The list is rather long... I dont think its actually possible for me to get it all done when I feel 100% so the chances of getting it all done when I feel about 20% are rather slim....
I am keeping my fingers crossed!

hayley and brydees formal

Boy, have formals changed since I did mine! These girls have style. I did not have style in year ten. Although if you had asked me at the time I would've told you I was incredibly stylish. Anyway, these girls have got style. I had a ball watching everyone arrive in their vehicles. Seriously, there were ferraris, a couple of porsches, trucks, harley trikes, the winner of the rev fest burn out comp... And the dresses, and the shoes! I saw some great shoes.

Hope you girls had as much fun as I did. I bet your feet were sore...
Ya'all know I love my lens flair!
PS Edited to add I had porches! Instead of porshe. How funny would it be to arrive in a porch? Ok i have a weird sense of humour...

most difficult client ever

A couple of months ago Craig and I decided to practice what we preach and get our portraits done. Ok, maybe I decided all on my own, but I couldnt do photos by myself could I? So we got the fabulous Briony Hardinge from Albury to do them for us. And I am a bad subject! Check out the pics, yup, I pulled faces and poked my tongue out... And had chats to every single person who walked past!

Some good lessons I learnt from this : black is good to wear, as are high heeled shoes. You always look at yourself first in photos. You see yourself differently than other people see you ( why is that? ) in photos. Unless you have arms that are trim and toned, wear long sleeves.

So I will post the nice ones that I picked next time, but right now I'm going to bed. Its after eleven. Again.

Some good posts to come soon : after the editing : erin and owens wedding, jill and mattys wedding, two formals and a couple of family shoots. Fun!

stick a fork in me

I'm done! Now I think I will have a day off! The final order is burning as we speak, and although I still have two weddings to edit and two more to shoot, I think maybe I can get back to normal now. No more working till 2 in the morning to get it all done. And the first thing I'm going to do is get my hair done.

the wedding of amy and cody

Amy and Cody had a gorgeous ceremony at Amy's parents place, and it was beautiful down to the last detail. We had some great textures to shoot for their location shots, and then had some great light to shoot in a reserve.

jodi and grants e-session

I love it when a client says I can pretty much shoot wherever I want. I have a list of places I have been looking at, so I consult that list and then head off to a new spot. So thats what we did for Jodi and Grants engagement session. We had fun walking around and shooting whatever looked good. Like a wedding dress rehearsal, but without the wedding dress... Lots of public canoodling...

danielle + milton's e-session

Milton proposed to Danielle at the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I think that's pretty romantic! We had a great e-shoot around the Civic Centre and I even talked them into using a grungy wall while they had their formal outfits on. And I even got a lady beetle in the ring shot! How cool is that?

the rosser family

We had a fun afternoon in the park, with me chasing Miranda around. She was a lot easier to photograph before she could walk. Any time I got near her she got up and ran away. But I figured out a way in the end. The balancing beam. She was on a track straight to the camera. Total genuis on my behalf! And Miss Abigail has been watching Americas Next Top Model and turned the beam into a catwalk. You go girl!

lewis

How cute is he? With the help of his bigger and very loving sister Bella we got some gorgeous smiley shots. Whats cuter than a smiley baby in a cute hat?

The shoot was mainly for Lewis but Bella loves having her photo taken - or to be more correct loves setting up to have her photo taken. If only all my clients were this willing! Maybe she will be a stylist when she grows up. But I did manage to grab this one I really like with the parasols that matched her pretty dress.
