laura { colour on a cloudy day }

Laura came in, rocked the camera, worked her stuff, then promptly said "i dont want to do anymore" and that was that! I thought i had a secret weapon, and whipped the bubbles out of my camera bag, only to find they had no blowing bit thingie. Still, she was impressed by my pizazz and let me grab a couple more shots in her spotty party dress.

Do you not totally love her outfit? So cute and colourful. The pettiskirt is borrowed ( thanks Briony! ) but you can get similiar ones and the Huggalug leggings at The Nursery Fairy.

display ideas

I found the inspriation for this display idea sitting on my kitchen table. I love a good magazine, and Real Living is one of my favourites. These images were shot of the magazine on my table, cause I read a magazine every morning when i eat my toast.

This image display above a cot is just so cute. Use the frames to put in your favourite card from your babys birth, a maternity photo, and your favourite shot of your baby from their newborn photo shoot. So sweet!

conah + kade { spunky boys on location }

Umm... hello, can you say spunky? These boys were so funny, they could quack like a duck and it was hilarious, and some little old man tried to steal our suitcases. Soooo funny. Really. Maybe you had to be there.

And how spunky are their outfits? Perfect for an urban shoot.

indi grace { pretty things on location }

Isnt it funny how things sometimes turn out? We had planned this shoot for a while, but the pink pettiskirt Indi's Mum wanted didnt arrive in time. On the day of the shoot we had a borrowed red pettiskirt and some drizzle. When I arrived at the location I realised I had forgot the pettiskirt in all the crazy rush. While someone went back to get it, we discussed the shoot. Should we do it in the rain? We had pretty much scrapped the whole idea. But then there was a break in the rain, the red pettiskirt arrived and looked stunning with all the silver, and Indi was in a fabulous mood and was just so happy to play for the camera, we ended up doing the shoot anyway, even if it was just a small one. And i totally love the results. Indi just looks so gorgeous!

display ideas

I love collages of frames on the wall, i keep trying to find a spot to do one here. Even though the frames are different they are similiar in style and they have kept to a mostly monochromatic colour scheme. This idea also lets you add to your display over time.

max { eight months old }

Max bought his Mummy and Daddy in for some photos and we sang some songs... or at least I tried to sing. Anyone who has had a shoot with me knows I like to sing. I'm just not very good at it.

and down it goes again

The email, website and slideshows are down again... The computer is in the shop, and then i can bring the new one home. Fingers crossed its all i hope it is! The only problem will be setting it up, as it takes ages and ages to get all your bits and pieces onto a new system.
So no comuter means no work... which is not good. But it also means i have the afternoon off... after my next client is finished ( thank goodness for the laptop for viewings ). So i'm going to walk the dog. Gosh my life is exciting.

sweet photos { an internet find }

Mandy Lynne is another sweet discovery in the world of internet. Her images have a lovely vintage feel that is very sweet. She also has an etsy shop where you can buy some of her prints.

caden { eleven weeks old }

I did Caden's mummy and daddy's wedding so I was a little excited when they rang and said they wanted to bring little Caden in for some photo lovin'. It took us ages to get him to sleep but when he did he was so cute. Look at those little squishy baby lips!

paddy { eight months old }

Paddy first came to visit me when he was just nine weeks old. Now he is eight months and getting cuter every day.

chuckin' a sickie

So tis Monday morning and i am feeling like death warmed up. My body has timed it rather well to have a crash though, as i had the weekend off and no clients booked in today. I had the day put aside to edit preschool photos. Will have to see how i feel i guess. Yesterday was spent on the lounge with my blankie watching Legally Blonde one and two...

display ideas

One concern I often get when people are ordering is that they are renting and cant put holes in the walls. Displays like this one show that you can have a photo or art work display, with no holes in the wall, and it still looks fabulous. All the frames are white so will easily go with another house when you move, and you can change the display as often as you like to keep it fresh.

behind the scenes { sneak peek }

I have a couple of fantastic shoots coming up on the blog, but thought i would start off with these little sneak peeks first. Now obviously i didnt take these pics, because I'm in them. The fabulous Briony of Hardinge Photography in Albury snapped these behind the scenes pics. The top pic is me at my engagement shoot, with my fabulous assistant Melissa holding my dress up. And yes its raining. We only did a little bit of shooting and then we gave up and rescheduled for Beechworth in October. But we had fun trying! I think I'm saying something like "if you take my photo i am not going to be happy!". Or maybe it was "i can not believe that its raining at my engagement shoot" or maybe "why am i walking in knee high grass in the rain in three inch gold stilettos?"

The second shot is me carrying my rock star model back to the car. I seriously need a hair cut - look at my fringe! The full post of this shoot wont be long ... And its gonna have some serious awesome!

i like it

I just made this image black and white for a client order and fell in love with it all over again. How good would this look HUGE above a lounge in a black frame? I am thinking of starting to post pics of display ideas for people, because a lot of clients are unsure of what to do with their images. What do you think?

blake { one year old }

Blake got a big toy truck for his birthday, although he enjoyed knocking it over and spinning the wheels more than he did riding it, we still got some cute shots of him in it. Blake had a great range of expressions and gave me some great serious shots, but when he laughed his whole body laughed. It was so cute!

benjamin { first birthday cake smash }♠

Benjamin got lots of kisses and snuggles from his Mum and his Nan when he did his shoot. They even made him a super fabulous cake for him, just so he could smash it for his first birthday shoot.

Love me a serious expression.
