opening up a sunday for a shoot day!

Its that time of the year when things get a little crazy here at SRS headquarters and we start to scramble to get everyone in and smiley before Christmas.

So we are breaking our own rules and working on a Sunday... Two actually! So if you need a shoot before Christmas we have Sunday the 28th of October and Sunday the 4th of November available. That will be the last lot of shoots to get your prints back before Christmas. Christmas cards need to be ordered by next week ( I have a great santa hat you can use for your Christmas photos! ) and the absolute final order day for prints is the 5th of December. Any orders after that may not come back till next year...

Dont forget that Lilly Lane Framers is now offering a 15% discount to all SRS clients, and you realy need to have you pics to them by about mid November to make sure you have them back before Christmas.

I cant believe its October and I am talking about Christmas already! This year has gone so fast.

katarina, tamara and trinity

Three little cutie pies. I have been photographing Katarina and Tamara since they were little, and I love watching them grow up. I have a DSP of Katarina on my wall when she was a baby, so to see her walking and talking was a bit of a shock ( again! ). And little Trinny is their neighbour so she decided to come along and have some fun too. We played dress up...fun!

brittany

I dragged Brittany half way around the world to put her in a paddock full of Pattersons Curse, which made both of us itchy! We ran out of time and light with all that travelling so will be doing another shoot soon to get some more pics.

Brittany was another of my first models and last time I saw her I had to get her in front of the camera again. When she is rich and famous she can hire me as her personal photographer... that would be sweeeet.
Thanks Brit!

Check out the rest of the pics in the slide show

( the song is a bit funny cause I downloaded it )

amy

Meet the gorgeous Amy. She was one of the first girls I shot to build my portfolio when I started my business. I had her running around the gardens in a kids cowboy hat. So she has grown up a bit since then. When I did some family shots with her the other day ( see post below ) I had to ask if I could borrow her again. The camera just loves her and I love seeing her grow up to be the stunner that she is!
And I got to play around with some new textures. Loving it!

three kids and a baby

A great bunch of kids that I adore ( maybe because they're all so well behaved! ) and little Emily, who I think must be the most photographed baby in Wagga at the moment.
PS; I have some more photos of Amy to post really soon!

road trip

Almost two thousand kilometres later and we are back at rocket headquarters. We started the weekend off at Narooma for the Rockabilly Blues Festival where the Black Sorrows totally rocked. A bunch of friends go every year but this is the first time I got to go as I didnt have a wedding.
First up, Joe from the Black Sorrows ( or Bakelite Radio as they are also known ) rocking it up with the pink sax. We liked it so much we bought the cd!

Tex Perkins ( from the Cruel Sea fame )
Watermelon Slim on the harmonica and the guitarist ( this is one of the few shots of him without a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, same goes for the drummer )
We then moved down to Eden and went out to see some whales. Very cool! And very hard to photograph. I have decided never to become a professional whale photographer. The lovely little town of Tilba Tilba
A train bridge somewhere on the way to Melbourne
The Old Melbourne Gaol where Ned Kelly was hanged. This place has so much history.
And me in the hallway at the Albany Hotel where we stayed in Melbourne. This place has character. Its like an old lady with too much makeup on. I think I look better in the dark!

We had a great time on this trip, I have a wedding booked for long weekend next year so Craig will be going on his own again. But it was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. And no, no diamonds... sigh...
I have heaps of other stuff to post, so much work to do! There will be heaps of wedding posts coming up as the season gets into full swing. I have some great weddings that I am looking forward to shooting. And then it'll be Christmas... where has the year gone!
We also had our portraits done in Albury on the way home, so will post some of those when I get them. I think I changed my outfit like ten times...
Smiles!

briony

Recently I had the opportunity to shoot the totally talented Briony Hardinge from Hardinge Photography in Albury. I have never shot a photographer before so it was totally terrifying! But I think we did well. Briony is also the lucky soul who gets to shoot mine and Craigs portraits next week. And everyone knows how much I like having my photo taken. She has a job ahead of her!

lara loves having her photo taken

This is one of those shoots thats all my idea. I went shopping and bought both the outfits and the devil horns, and then asked if I could borrow my nieces to shoot it. It was supposed to be three girls in the paddock with parasols, and a cute little fella in the devils horns, but that went a bit pear shaped. But Lara... well she loves having her photo taken. My professional little model! Since I get so many clients who hate having their photo taken, getting one who loves it is a nice change!
