addison

Addison was twelve weeks old when we did her shoot, and that was about the same age i shot her big brother Ryan, when Zac was three. I cant believe how much the boys have grown up, they were so good with their baby sister. I just wish I had the energy those boys have!

I love this shot, the way the boys are holding onto her.

the drummond family

How gorgeous are these kids? We had lots of laughs and giggles and we got some great shots.

monday { randomness }

Wow, the past couple of weeks have been so busy! I have had weddings, heaps of portraits, two shoots for a fund raising calender, and the bridal fair...

The bridal fair was a great success, I talked to so many people I thought I was going to lose my voice again. I also had so many lovely people come in and say they read my blog, so a big "hello" to all my blog readers! I even had somebody sneak me in some chocolate, how sweet! And a few people commented on my shoe obesssion.... So thats me, give me beautiful photos, a hot pair of shoes and some chocolate and I'm a happy girl.

After the bridal fair I was so tired I dumped all the stuff out of the car on the floor and went straight to sleep. Then I had to get up and put it all away.

I hope to have some great posts coming up this week! Weddings, spunky football players with no shirts on, trash the dress sessions and some very cute kids.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and you took a nap if you needed one.

the wedding of bree and scott

Bree wanted something modern for her wedding photos ( which is fabulous! ) so we headed to the art gallery to use the strong lines and colours of their walls for some shots. They had a funky old red holden for their wedding car that I was loving so had to use it for some shots, with the bonus of lens flare. Love me some lens flare. And then some texture in the form of an old shed. And that was where a tiny little dog hurtled at us at a million miles an hour. I will probably get in big trouble for posting this, but its just so funny!

And this is my latest self portrait. See? Theres Bree and Scottie, and i am the weird bent shape on the right hand side. Cool huh?

saturday { randomness }

Has anybody ever googled themselves? I just did while i was downloading the files from the wedding I did today, and evidently I ran in a 10k run in Brisbane, where I am asking people to sponsor me and have absolutely zero sponsors so far. Lucky I bought new sneakers last week! There is also another skye davis on face book, can you believe that? And when i was at athletes foot last week they had another two skye davis's on their system. And i thought i was unique! I also work in the porcelain department somewhere in New York. And evidenly I am in Florida and trying to find people to adopt thirty grey hounds. Now thats some fascinating entertainment for Saturday night. I thinks its way past time I had another cold and flu tablet and went to bed. Dont forget to turn your clocks back and have a great weekend!

craig's family @ ballina

A couple of weeks I went to my cousins wedding in Grafton on Saturday and then to Craig's grandparents 65th wedding anniversary lunch on Sunday. These pics are from the anniversary lunch, because I had to snap a few piccies with the kids.

So a huge congratulations to Nanna and Grandfather for their anniversary!

We had a lovely lunch, and a pretty drive through the country. A lovey way to spend a Sunday. Actually, i like the area so much i asked Craig if we could move. He wasnt very enthusiastic.

trash the dress

Today i took a trip down to Victoria to do a trash the dress session. And I have two more on Sunday. ( yes i know its a long weekend but this was too good to pass up! ). So i will be posting pics from today soon, but in the mean time i found this article that i think sums it up pretty well, so click this link to check it out.

I am so excited!!!!!

Its not about destroying the dress, just about getting beautiful shots and not being worried if it gets a little dirty. Dont want to wear your wedding dress? What about that bridesmaid dress thats in the back of the closet? Or a bargain ebay dress? Or a formal gown that you would love to see rolled around in the dirt? Add some sexy heels and go full on fashion.

What about trashing that formal dress? Actually I might even do that one myself!

What about celebrating your vow renewal or anniversary?

And does anyone have an abandoned house and a couple of dozen wrecked cars that i can shoot with? Or know where one is?

the wedding of tim and karen

This wedding was a great start to the wedding season. Apart from it being a bit windy it was a beautiful day. The ceremony was at the Brucedale Chapel, which is probably my favourite church, and then we had some great locations out of town to play with. The bridal party and all the family were lovely and so easy to work with. A beautiful day!

family in the studio

This family even bought their pet dog, Kevin, along for the shoot. Kevin is a very relaxed dog, and also a girl, so dont let the name confuse you. And Hughie made me a sky rocket all by himself ( ok it wasnt really for me, but he did make it all by himself ), olivia gave me sweet shy smiles and mia just cracked me up. Last time I shot this family they didnt have olivia, so its lovely to see how they've grown.

jake

I shot Jake when he was a baby and he's just getting cuter - even though he wasnt in the best mood for our shoot, we managed to sway him with lots and lots of bubbles. So now he's all grown up and one year old. The shot below is from his baby shoot.
