Check out these groovy photo cuffs! In a range of colours and styles.

where i will be all easter

So this is where I will be most of Easter weekend. With some groovy tunes playing and those mini chocolate easter eggs calling my name...

happy easter!

Today is Easter Friday and I must've thought it was Saturday because I accidentally turned my alarm off and slept in until 10 o'clock, then painted my toe nails and walked the dog before coming into work. Its so had to work on a public holiday when its such a beautiful day and everyone else is having the day off, but I have tons of editing to do. Even Craig is having the dayoff. Sigh...
The top two pics show a little bird sculpture I bought at the Wagga art gallery. If anyone knows the name of the artist who made this could they please email me? I love my little bird. He is also standing in front of the jar of mini easter eggs that are on my coffee table. I think the people who live here have eaten way more than the clients have!
And the bottom pic is the easter eggs I bought for my nieces. I hadnt picked up my camera in a couple of days and was having withdrawal symptoms today and they looked pretty photogenic.

melissa and tim's wedding

This wedding broke a record for the most number of children in the bridal party. Ten altogether ( but they didn't all go on the location shoot ). How cute are little girls in tutus? And the mother of those boys is gonna need a stick to beat the girls off with when they get older!

We took some shots at the Pavillion then caused some traffic chaos by wandering up the middle of Gurwood Street, but we got some great shots. A great group to work with! We had some fun on the golf course before doing more family photos. And I loved the cake.

a couple of days off yipee!

Ok, I know that I am insanely busy and have work coming at me from all directions, but I was really sick this week so Craig and I have decided to take a couple of days off. Yes, I somehow managed to get three days off in a row, so we are going to Canberra to see Varekai, the Cirque de Soliel show and it should be great, we are also going to the Portrait Gallery in Canberra. So I will be back all bright eyed and bushy tailed on Monday. See ya!

Jessica Claire Photography Blog

Jessica Claire Photography Blog

So here I am, draggin myself into work this morning, and of course I have to check a couple of my favourite photographers blogs to see what they have been up to. Those of you who are regular readers will know that I recently went to a seminar with Yervant in Melbourne, and I had Nic and Sally from Xsight ( also in Melbs ) to sign off on my AIPP application. So I am checking Jessica Claires blog this morning and who has she posted a shot with? Jerry from Xsight and Yervant. So now you know why Jerry is holding a [B]ecker shirt that says [B]xsighted. Do you get it? This is at WPPI and I so want to go next year! Its the biggest photography event on the planet....

Click the link above to visit the fabulous Jessica Claire's site and check out her shootsac... I think I will be giving my credit card a work out soon.

a bit of a wasted day

So I have had to write today off as a sick day... What a waste of a day! I have so much work to do, but I was just not well enough today to do much at all. Will have to work twice as hard tomorrow to make up for it. I have decided that I am not going to be sick tomorrow, I just have way too much editing to do. The power of positive thinking!

megan and david's wedding

It was another hot day for the wedding of Megan and David, but that didn't stop the groomsmen getting their photo in the paper. Why? Because all the groomsmen and the groom are called Dave. Yes, the four of them. What a great day!

linda and josh's wedding

Linda and Josh had their ceremony at the boat club, then we headed out to the Hampden Bridge in a line of purple and black cars, then back to the boat club for the reception. Although it rained at the start, it turned out to be a beautiful day.

oscar

Did I mention how much I love my job? I am just so lucky to get to take photos of the most gorgeous babies!
I was so taken by little Oscar I even introduced him to my partner, who didnt seem as impressed as I was. I wanted to keep him! This was the very last shoot in the old studio, mere moments before it was all packed up and loaded into the car and the ute to go to its new home.

eliza

Isn't she beautiful? This was one of the last shoots in my old studio. She is such a little cutie!

ready to launch!

Ok I am back online!
Woo Hoo!
Email and internet should now all be working properly, keep an eye out for the new work on the website to be uploaded soon... whenever I get a spare five minutes!
So much is happening at the moment I dont know where to start. Stay tuned!

and the rain comes down

Ok, dont get me wrong, this rain is great, but we are supposed to be moving the studio today and its pouring. We spent all day yesterday moving, and finally knocked off about nine last night and fell into an exhauted sleep. When we woke it was raining, and evidently had been all night. My car, which I had parked conveniently close to the doors to unload, was now sitting in an inch of mud. I tried to reach it in my thongs and pyjamas and got stuck in the mud, which my new neighbours thought was quite hilarious. The car fared no better, we had to get it towed out. The poor thing looks like she has spent a week at a rally driving course.

So we are now out of Martin Street and not really living anywhere, as the new house is not quite finished. By that I mean we currently have no hot water, no drive way, no clothes line and no air conditioning, so I am moving in with my mother-in-law.

In the midst of all this chaos, the new place is a total shambles but still manages to look great.

So this is my last post before I unplug my trusty computer. ( Sob... no internet for about a week! ) This means my web site will be down and I will be unable to answer any emails for a while.

Our new address is 72 Jack Avenue. The phone numbers are the same.

Bye for now! See you all in the new place!

erwin and chin chin's post wedding shoot

It was a beautiful day, but it was so hot! We had it set for five and then pushed it back till six thirty so it would be a bit cooler but it didn't make much difference, it was still hot. On the way home the temperature thingie at the club said it was still 28 degrees, and that was at eight o'clock at night. But it was a great shoot, we had some fun chasing the ducks around ( erwins idea! ) and playing with lens flair ( my idea ). They are such a cute couple. And we had gelatissimo!

melbourne urban texture

While in Melbourne I grabbed a couple of shots of urban stuff, that just doesnt seem to be here in Wagga. And of course I did some shopping with the little time I had left over.

the melbourne yervant experience

I went to Melbourne to do a wedding workshop with yervant, one of the top wedding photographers in the world. What a learning experience. We got to do a shoot in Melbourne with three gorgeous brides in their beautiful gowns. I was so nervous to start I didn't shoot anything! I just watched the rest of the group but I learnt a lot from that too.

One of the many things I love about yervants work is his choice of locations, he proves time and time again that a great location is not all about a fabulous park and a fountain. Its about the texture and the colour, but most of all its about the light and making the bride and groom look fabulous.
Hello to all the photographers I met from all over the world. How cool would it be if someone in America or Canada was reading my blog!
A big thank you to Yervant and Anie for being so fabulous and sharing so much, it was truly inspirational!

And thanks to Tanya for letting me pick her brain on numerous topics ( usually while she was trying to eat her lunch )
